After nearly eight years at Carlton National Resources, Vincent Straccia has become a respected presence within the Hardware and Software division.
As an Account Manager, Vincent focuses on client support, relationship building, and navigating the fast-paced nature of the staffing industry.
Flexibility in Staffing Account Management
For Vincent, flexibility is one of the most important parts of the role.
“As I’m sure you can imagine, there are no ‘typical days’ because we serve multiple clients and client managers so we try to be flexible to address their time sensitive needs,” he explains.
Although each day brings different priorities, Vincent still values consistency in his approach.
“I do try to adhere to somewhat of a routine which has me regularly speaking with current and prospective clients, addressing time sensitive inquiries and issues, working with my colleagues, collaborating with our world class recruiting team and supporting the back office folks with paperwork.”
That balance of structure and adaptability helps him manage client needs while staying closely connected with the broader Carlton team.
A Culture Built on Collaboration
What Vincent appreciates most about Carlton is the culture that has developed across the organization.
“I’ve been at Carlton for almost 8 years and it’s hands down the best place to work in the staffing industry,” he says. “The people really make this place special.”
He also credits the leadership team for creating an environment centered on teamwork and collaboration.
“Our leadership team places a great emphasis on culture, teamwork and collaboration so this place is full of amazing people who truly want to see each other thrive and be happy.”
For Vincent, that culture is a major part of what has made his time at Carlton so meaningful.
Celebrating Milestones and Relationships
Over the years, Vincent has built many memorable experiences at Carlton.
Among his favorites are the annual Founder’s Club trips.
“Our annual Founder’s Club trips are awesome,” he shares. “They provide an opportunity to celebrate our achievements and unwind with the people I work with every day.”
At the same time, Vincent values the everyday relationships just as much.
“I also enjoy the day to day interactions I have with our wonderful clients and consultants and my fellow Carlton colleagues.”
Those relationships remain a key part of his approach to staffing account management.
Approaching Challenges Directly
Challenges are inevitable in staffing, but Vincent believes in addressing them openly.
“I approach challenges head on,” he explains. “It’s always best to be open, honest and direct so we can address any challenge and successfully move forward.”
That direct approach helps create clarity and keeps communication strong with both clients and internal teams.
Supporting the Next Generation
Mentorship has also become an important part of Vincent’s journey at Carlton.
Recently, he has spent more time working alongside the training and development team. He especially enjoys supporting employees who are new to the staffing industry.
For those just starting at Carlton, Vincent’s advice is straightforward.
“I always tell folks to listen attentively, take copious notes and ask questions of the veterans,” he says. “We want you to succeed and be successful so we are always willing to help.”
He adds, “I’ve recently worked with our training and development folks in training sessions for new hires and I really enjoy mentoring new hires.”
